PANCE Exam Prep: 2,000 Practice Questions for the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam

Enrollment open: 2,000 original practice questions built on the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants’ current PANCE content blueprint (effective January 2025). Enroll today and start with free sample questions.

Verified questions

Every question in this program is original — written for PassProfessor from the official exam blueprint, never copied from a test bank or another provider’s materials. Before enrollment opened, each answer key was independently verified: reviewers re-answered sampled questions blind, disagreements were settled against the primary sources, and every numeric answer was recomputed from first principles. Questions whose facts could not be confirmed were removed, and the bank passed a text-overlap screen. Practice exams draw a fresh, blueprint-weighted set from the full bank on every attempt, so no two practice exams are the same.

The PANCE — the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination — is the certification examination for physician assistants in the United States, developed by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). PassProfessor’s PANCE program prepares you with 2,000 original practice questions organized around NCCPA’s content blueprint: every question is coded to a content area and to one of the blueprint’s task categories, the same dual coding the real blueprint uses.

What the program covers

Every content area on NCCPA’s blueprint is covered at its published percentage. The bank’s content-area counts, and what a full practice exam draws from each:

  • Cardiovascular System — 220 practice questions; 33 per full practice exam
  • Pulmonary System — 180 practice questions; 27 per full practice exam
  • Gastrointestinal System/Nutrition — 160 practice questions; 24 per full practice exam
  • Musculoskeletal System — 160 practice questions; 24 per full practice exam
  • Infectious Diseases — 140 practice questions; 21 per full practice exam
  • Neurologic System — 140 practice questions; 21 per full practice exam
  • Psychiatry/Behavioral Science — 140 practice questions; 21 per full practice exam
  • Reproductive System — 140 practice questions; 21 per full practice exam
  • Endocrine System — 120 practice questions; 18 per full practice exam
  • Eyes, Ears, Nose, and Throat — 120 practice questions; 18 per full practice exam
  • Hematologic System — 100 practice questions; 15 per full practice exam
  • Renal System — 100 practice questions; 15 per full practice exam
  • Dermatologic System — 80 practice questions; 12 per full practice exam
  • Genitourinary System — 80 practice questions; 12 per full practice exam
  • Professional Practice — 120 practice questions; 18 per full practice exam

Practice in the real exam’s shape

A full practice exam draws 300 questions — the full length of the real exam — across all 15 content areas at their official percentages, inside a 300-minute limit that mirrors the real five-block, five-hour structure. Practice exams are scored against a 70% practice benchmark: the real PANCE reports a scaled score from 200 to 800 with a passing standard of 350, which has no percentage equivalent, so treat the benchmark as a practice target, not the NCCPA standard.

How the program works

Enrollment gives you the full bank of 2,000 questions. Full practice exams draw a fresh set every attempt, weighted to the official outline, and never repeat the same exam twice. Short 10-question drills let you work one section at a time. A fixed set of 12 free sample questions is available before you enroll, so you can see the question style first.
