Practice exams are scored against a 70% practice benchmark. PTCB does not pass or fail the PTCE on a percentage: results are reported on a scaled score of 1000 to 1600, and a scaled score of 1400 is required to pass. The real exam is 90 multiple-choice questions (80 scored, 10 unscored pretest) with 1 hour 50 minutes of exam time, weighted to the v1.4 content outline (Medications 35%, Patient Safety and Quality Assurance 23.75%, Order Entry and Processing 22.5%, Federal Requirements 18.75%).
